Incorporation of Lassa Lastik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. Signing of two agreements, covering technical assistance and engineering services, between Lassa and the BF Goodrich Company.
1975
Construction of the Lassa factory building begins. Lassa becomes the “Country Representative” for BF Goodrich and the newly established LISA Lastik İthalat ve Satış A.Ş. begins importing tyres of this brand.
1977
The factory conducts its first test-production.
1978
Mass production at the Lassa factory begins.
1979
Production of the first steel-belted radial passenger tyre in Turkey.
1980
Production of the first radial snow tyre in Turkey. Production of the biggest domestic off-road loader tyre in Turkey.
1985
Production of Turkey’s first tyres verified according to ECE regulations.
1987
Since the incorporation of Lassa, export sales reach 5 million tyres in 32 countries.
1988
Signing of the joint venture agreement between Bridgestone Corporation and Lassa A.Ş. the name of the Company is changed to Brisa Bridgestone Sabancı Lastik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. Tyre Research and Development Center (ARGESA) facilities begin operating at full capacity.
1990
Brisa adopts the Total Quality Management (TQM) system.
1991
Export of Bridgestone tyres from Turkey begins, Brisa becomes one of the global points of production for Bridgestone products. Production of the first H-rated (210 km/h) high performance passenger tyre in Turkey.
1992
Production of the first V-rated (240 km/h) high performance passenger tyre in Turkey.
1993
Brisa receives Turkey’s first “National Quality Award” given jointly by the Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen Association (TUSIAD) and the Turkish Quality Association (KalDer).
1995
Annual tyre production exceeds 2 million. Brisa becomes a member of the Board of Directors of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM).
1996
Brisa wins the EFQM ‘European Quality Award’. Brisa awarded as the ‘Best Managed Company’ by the Bridgestone Corporation.
1997
Brisa shares Business Excellence experience through 22 programs in 20 countries within the framework of the EFQM Winners Conference.
1998
Tyre testing Laboratory of Brisa becomes the first laboratory to receive certification from the Turkish Standardization Institute (TSE) within the framework of EU Directives.
2001
Production of the first 4x4 vehicle tyre (Lassa Competus) in Turkey.
2003
Production of the first asphalt rally tyre (Lassa racing) in Turkey.
2004
Production of the first off-road rally tyre (Lassa Rally) in Turkey. Production of the first W-rated (270 km/h) ultra high performance passenger tyre (Lassa Impetus Sport) in Turkey. Certification for Ford Q1 supplier obtained.
2005
Production of the first W-rated (18’’diameter) ultra high performance passenger car tyres (Lassa Impetus Sport) in Turkey. Brisa, Turkey’s leading tyre manufacturer, launches a new investment program of US $ 168 million to expand production facilities under a single roof, stretching over 300,000 m² of covered area leading to growth of 50%.
2006
Production of the first asymmetrical passenger car tyre (Lassa Atracta) in Turkey.
2007
Lassa Rally Team ranks first at Turkey Rally Teams Championship.
2008
Bridgestone becomes the only and official tyre supplier for Formula 1™. Lassa changes its 30 year old logo. Bridgestone Corporation and Sabancı Group celebrate the 20th year of their partnership. Lassa Rally Team ranks first in ‘Team Racing’, ‘Group N Racing’, ‘Pilots Championship’ and ‘Co-Pilots Championship’ categories at the ‘Turkey Rally Championship’.
2009
The Lassa Rally Team, which has ranked first in the Turkish Rally Championship since 2007, the year in which it was founded, begins representing Turkey in the 2009 Italian Rally Championship for the first time.
2010
The Lassa Rally Team takes first on the podium in Italy. The Competus family has been completed with the new Competus H/P and Competus Winter. Bridgestone launches the global social responsibility campaign “Think Before You Drive” in Turkey.
2011
The performance tyre Phenoma joined the Lassa family with 11 sizes. Lassa was the sponsor of two football teams and an ice hockey team: Borussia Mönchengladbach, Bolton Wanderers and Dinamo Minsk of Belarus.
2012
Our investments since our foundation have reached 800 million US dollars. Lassa was the sponsor of Team Lassa which took place in British Drift Championship.
2013
Bridgestone Corporation and Sabancı Group celebrate the 25th year of their partnership Brisa proudly announces the 300 mil. $ invetment for its 2nd factory to be built in Aksaray with initial production capacity of 4.2 mil. units.

Lassa Tyres became FC Barcelona Official Tyre Partner for 4 years.

Solid forklift tyres are introduced to the market under the Kinesis brand.
